Summoned a paladin of the ancient dragon for help finding court mage, Mortanion.[[player_characters:karath| Karath]] and [[player_characters:dally|Lordaelyn Penrose]] showed up and commissioned a barge to Hawks Hallow, the last known whereabouts of the Mage. //See also [[story:hawks_hollow_cycle|The Hawks Hallow Cycle]]//

When they arrive back the city has been suffering food storage losses. The companions, Lordaelyn, Karath, [[player_characters:clover|Clover]] and [[player_characters:dusky|Dusky]] track the lasses to ratmen, who had been storing the food from the granaries. The companions restore the food and are named the Heroes of Valishdal.

After successfully running some missions for him, he decides to engage them to escort a caravan of trade goods and  merchants looking for a new life to the kingdom of Dar'Amkul, leading to the eventual conflicts between the two kingdoms. //See also [[story:the_burning_wind_saga| The Burning Wind Saga]]//
