In 739 A.R. Insurrection started by House Alsindre, With Merin Alsindre leading the forces of House Alsindre. Civil war erupts across the Empire.

In 741 A.R. The Kingdom of Melistrande enters the war as an ally of House Alsindre. Imperial Forces are pushed from the borders and routed closer to the Imperial City of Vizrand.

The Imperial armies had been successful in pushing back Alsindre’s march on the capital of Vizrand. Both armies began maneuvering towards cities to make camp in early Cold Reach. It was in a small village in 742 A.R. that Merin Alsindre, secretly riding from his main army to a secondary force, was discovered by a small band of MoonBlades. This group assaulted the guards travelling with Merin and was able to capture him after suffering severe losses. Then, traveling by night and sneaking across the countryside, this small band delivered Merin Alsindre to the Empire. With Alsindre’s greatest general in chains, his son, Toryllin Alsindre, would become the new leader of the armies that marched under their banner.

After the death of his son in Dawn's break of 743 A.R., the surrender of the remaining forces under the Alsindre banner and the crowning of Emperor I’lshandre The First, Merin Alsindre is put to death in a grand spectacle. All remaining blood relatives of Alsindre are captured and under Imperial decree marched to the capital where The Week Of Blood takes places, slowly putting to death the entire family and ending the Alsindre line.

By Imperial decree if any man woman or child is revealed to have Alsindre blood they are to be immediately put in chains and marched to the capital to be summarily executed. All Alsindre lands were confiscated and divvied up the loyal Houses of the Empire.
