House Oringil is one of the older families of the Empire and one of the most politically active. House Oringil is widely known throughout the Empire, and representatives and diplomats can be found in every court both in and outside the Empire. House Oringil is so well known for their diplomatic and pacifistic activities that they have rarely gone to war, a fact that House Torsk and House Lorrik remind them of on a regular basis.

House Oringil is one of the richer houses of the Empire. They are uniquely positioned on a great trade route, receiving gold and worked metals from Starkholde, strange artifacts and imports from Dar’Amkul and magical items and potions from Vain’istra. Their capital city of Garingold is prosperous and expanding regularly and the farmlands they control provide much of the food to the Empire. Furthermore, they are known for their fertile lands and produce a unique wine vintage sought after in many markets throughout the world.

House Oringil also sponsored the first University in the Empire and reaps the technological achievements that the great minds develop at the university.

House Oringil’s territory extends into the lower South West of the Empire. The House is bordered by House Tyrallon in the Northwest, House Torsk in the Northeast, House Makul to the East and the Great Grey Waste to the West.
